The high-torque all-in-one drill offers versatile attachments and a new level of flexibility on an 18V platform
MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (March 31. 2020) — Imagine an all-in-one tool that delivers exceptional power, speed and runtime to tackle even the toughest jobs and discover the Bosch 18V FlexiClick® 5-In-1 Drill/Driver System. Now available throughout North America, the appropriately named “Chameleon” is designed for professionals who are looking for a high-torque, connected-ready drill/driver that redefines limits.
At its core, the Bosch 18V FlexiClick has a 1/4-inch hex bit holder with quick release. But the system comprises four pro-grade attachments – three that are included in the kit and one that’s sold separately. Included are the ½-inch keyless right-angle chuck attachment, offset angle attachment and 1/2-inch keyless all metal chuck attachment. Available soon and sold separately is a fourth optional attachment that can transform the drill into an SDS-plus rotary hammer to enable users to drill in concrete and other tough materials. This attachment will allow users to attack projects at virtually any angle, offering easy adjustment for screw driving, drilling, right angle drilling/driving, and offset driving close to edges.
The drill offers Bluetooth® connectivity via a connectivity module (sold separately), a precision clutch and an efficient EC Brushless motor that delivers up to 535 In.-Lbs. of torque. The Chameleon also features Bosch-exclusive Kickback Control, or an integrated acceleration sensor that limits tool rotation by shutting down the motor when it detects sudden movement. This function mitigates injury risk during bind-up situations.
“The Bosch FlexiClick 5-in-1 Drill/Driver System is a versatile tool for pros on the jobsite that gets tough jobs done quickly and efficiently,” said Will Shiel, product manager for Bosch Power Tools. “The 18V FlexiClick builds on the success of our 12V model, delivering outstanding versatility in a brushless, compact, high-quality drill/driver. With a variety of attachments, the user is ensured that they can get into tight work spaces and very close to edges.”
The right angle chuck and the offset angle attachments can be rotated in 16 different positions using one hand and without the need to remove attachments from the tool. Also included are a locking bit holder and all-metal keyless chuck.
The 18V FlexiClick features Bluetooth® connectivity when the optional GCY30-4 Connectivity Tool Module (sold separately) is installed. This allows users to link the drill/driver to the free Bosch Toolbox app on a connected device to customize settings and provide detailed feedback for optimized tool control.
The Bosch GSR18V-535FCB15 FlexiClick Drill/Driver kit comes standard with a CORE18V 4.0 Ah battery with next-gen Li-ion 21700 cell technology and an 18V charger.
